Aromatherapyoildiffuser.co.uk is published by Scentech V.O.F. of 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, the company that makes and sells the Scentech diffusers and ScentPods named here. The label above the article says so, the notice in the footer says so, and here it is a third time in plain words: this is a buying guide written by a manufacturer.

Why we write about the oil rather than the machine

Most diffuser guides start with the box. Ours starts with the bottle, because that is where the mistake happens. Somebody buys a machine that takes sealed cartridges and then a wall of single-note essential oils to go with it, or buys an ultrasonic tank and expects it to carry scent across an open-plan ground floor. Both are avoidable in one paragraph, and nobody writes that paragraph, so we did.

It is also the honest place for us to start, because it is where we lose as often as we win. If choosing the plant in the bottle is the point of a diffuser for you, our machines are the wrong purchase and this site says so on the front page, in the explainers and in the questions at the bottom.

The words we are careful with

Our pods are blended fragrance oil, not pure essential oil, and we never describe them as essential oils. We never call this a test or a laboratory comparison, because it is neither: we compared published specifications and public customer reviews, and that is the whole of it. Where a seller states no figure we write "not stated" rather than filling the gap.

How the recommendation is reached

Four figures decide the machine once the bottle question is settled: stated coverage in square metres, stated noise in decibels, the cost of a refill by the millilitre and by the month, and whether it can be scheduled without anyone touching it. Every value comes from a manufacturer's specification table, a named retailer's product page or a public review platform, each with the date we read it. The weights are set out on how we compare.

The British catch, stated plainly

On 9 September 2026 the Scentech checkout offered no delivery option at all for a British address. We have left that on the front page, in the questions and on the method page rather than tucking it away, because a guide that sends you to a shop which cannot take your order is worth nothing. The pound prices here are the shop's own conversion from euros on the same date, so they move with the exchange rate.

How this site is paid

An order placed at getscentech.com through a link on this site is attributed to this site. You pay nothing extra for that, and the offer page is identical for every visitor. The other brands named here — John Lewis, Tisserand, HoMedics, Stoneglow, Beurer, Holland & Barrett — pay us nothing, have not seen this text and cannot change it.
